Lakai – The Quiet Life Collab. MJ Select – Brown Suede

September 29th, 2007    Posted in Lakai, Shoes, Skateboarding

The Quiet Life is a small design/clothing/art project that’s run by designer/photographer/Lakai art director Andy Mueller. It’s Andy’s personal art/design project that he works on in his free time. The first time I saw the Quiet Life was at Krudmart in Buffalo, New York I am pretty sure. I like the line and as a photographer myself gotta support the project! Most of the graphics are simple, straight forward, and humorous. His designs often use bold iconography, irony, and word play.

The Hundreds- More Bombs!

September 29th, 2007    Posted in The Hundreds

Drop more bombs because shooting people with guns is just too old school. Iran, Iraq, and North Korea…….why cannot we all just get along! Make Love not War, right? I love the 70’s color text and type. The modified logo of The Hundreds with the peace logo is hot as well. Pick this one up from the Fall 2007 line.

Rogue Status Gernade

September 25th, 2007    Posted in Rogue Status

Rogue Status brings another product that hopefully will allow people to get over the Gunshow Print tee. This shirt is all about grenades! The center one has a RS logo on it while the left just features a big circled G. The shirt comes in black and white from what we have seen and the back says GRENADE with a backwards R and Rogue Status in the standard cursive font. A pretty solid shirt, I love the new AWOL shirt as well. The Unknown Solider tee I could live without, I think I am just a hater more and more these days to all the all over print status.

King Stampede Logo 3m.

September 22nd, 2007    Posted in King Stampede, Rogue Status

This is my intial favorite shirt from the new line. I am just a sucker for this logo I think and love the crown and the KS style. The shirt comes in purple, black, and white. The classic King Stampede logo on the back with New York under it. “Respect Language & Culture,” is the subtitle of the shirt on the back. Simple and clean, finally King Stampede releases this hot line. Rogue Status also just dropped three new shirts for Fall 2007.

It’ September 21st and Boundless New York Trading Post just listed the King Stampede Fall Line. So let’s get excited and enjoy one of the hottest lines around out of NYC. King Stampede fall tee’s are finally out and they are hot. This is King Stampede’s first attempt at custom body tees and they killed it. Not only are these tees comfy to the skin, but they fit the way they should! Without further delay, we now introduce King Stampede Fall tees: One Step Closer, Cosmic Meeting, Abstractions, King Stampede Logo 3m, Past Present Future, and Technician. I am interested to get a hold of these custom body tee’s, everyone seems to be hyped on them.

Mishka – Release the Bats

September 20th, 2007    Posted in Mishka

I hate bats but this shirt has a cool 80’s Halloween vibe to it. Mishka seems to have a record number of products out for the Fall 2007 line. This shirt comes in black and white. Watch your head and your back if the bats come out to play. I would prefer them just to hide in a cave and stay away from us humans. Oh yea, if the bats you see have teeth like the one in this t-shirt, run twice as fast.

Lost in Los Angeles Hoodie

September 18th, 2007    Posted in Lost in Los Angeles

I am not that big of a fan of the music but the logo is sick. The logo is sick enough to go buy some clothes over……I found the logo on one of the Lotus Elise’s at NOPI Nationals in the JVC Mobile booth. The logo wound up on my blog and made me do some research of what the logo was about. I picked the logo zip up hoodie for purchase, the price is solid at just under $40 as well. Much better than the overplayed *cough* Rouge Status Gun Show *cough* hoodie at $175?! Come on……that junk is so played anyway, I saw five people wearing that Gun show shirt at NOPI Nationals this weekend. Let’s try for some unique designs here…..if you wanna be like everyone else, go to Macy’s and start buying up product from the super fly section. This is a black hoodie with gold print, the Lost in LA logo is also on the back in gold.

Here is a close up of the logo since you cannot see it that well on the hoodie.

10 Deep for the Fall 2007 line wants to let you know Uncle Sam wants yours! Two things are guaranteed for life, you are gonna die and pay taxes! 10 Deep just wants to remind you that Uncle Sam wants your money, first they will send the IRS and then they come with the guns. Pay up or head to Mexico!  I love the look of this shirt!

Proof 7- Our Money Grows on Tree’s

September 13th, 2007    Posted in Proof 7

I don’t know the Proof 7 label very well but this shirt I got a kick out of. Let me tell you what made me blog about it……I wouldn’t own it and quite frankly the color choice on this demo is HIDEOUS, the dark blue one isn’t half bad however. The Boundless NY Trading Post description made me fall on my ass (which involved off a swivel chair) and onto the floor at the office.  “Money Don’t Grow On Tree’s, but i need more trees, so i need more money!”  What an excellent Catch 22, props to the description writers over in Brooklyn. Proof 7 is made with organic cotton for all you lame hippies that care about that stuff as well.

The Hundreds – Smart

September 12th, 2007    Posted in The Hundreds

The Hundreds really came strong this fall so I need to lay down some more credit right now. I wouldn’t personally wear this shirt but it invoked some good laughs. This seems a little more fitting for a Sunday morning comic but hey, anything with guns is awesome right!? The Strong take from the weak, but the smart take from the strong. Maybe a text fix on it would sell me on the shirt more but never the less, The Hundreds drops another solid shirt.
