Photography Tips
December 12th, 2007

I know the number one sought out item for the 2006 Holiday season was a digital camera and I am going to assume it’s on everyone’s list again here for the holidays in 2007. I’ve actually been shooting photography for various print magazines since late 2004, so I have a couple years under my belt. One tip I would love to offer to all you newly found camera owners is to concentrate on producing some quality images. Flickr and photobucket are already over run with enough horrible shots from people who clearly should never be using a camera.
A great starter tip is take a photo that would generally be boring and place it behind a marvelous or much more exciting background. It helps to take an item outside of it’s element as well. For example, shooting a flower in the dessert will bring your eyes to pay much more attention to it. This example here is the Weapon R Scion XB that I shot for a Canadian magazine in Las Vegas a few weeks back. The car was taken off the street and onto a sidewalk to remove the car from it’s element. Then we placed it next to trees and a very exciting roof structure to really enhance and compliment the car in the image. The example can be seen below of how this was done.

So remember these tips when you are on the prowl for a new camera in 2007. Also, keep in mind to check out Ritz Camera for a wonderful digital picture frames once you take your much improved images on that new camera!
Wish (Atlanta, Georgia)

I finally made it to Wish right at Little 5 Points in Atlanta, Georgia. Let me tell you the place is amazing! I was able to find a ton of great brands such as The Hundreds, 10 Deep, Staple, A Life, Crooks & Castles, and King Stampede within the walls. Over in women’s they even had Tens (The Hundreds female line) and Married to the Mob! The atmosphere is relaxing and very open. They had a wide selection of Hundreds gear including some of their cut and sew. They also have a wide variety of shoes including Nike, MadFoot, and Alife. My only real complaint about the store is the prices on some items were notably inflated but it does give Atlanta residents an opportunity to try on many of these products under a local roof.
If you want to stay up with Wish ATL they have a blog at Wishatl.blogspot.com

The 1977 film with Jane Fonda, it’s awesome! I mean, how else are you going to live the Lush Life these days? You gotta steal stuff because Crime Pays. This hoodie comes in black that we have seen and has a detailed image of 3 crooks on the back. Check it out from the Lush Life Holiday drop.
