That is right, the Monte Carlo on the Las Vegas strip is currently on fire.

This has to take you back to 1980 when the MGM Grand burst into flames and killed 19. Are these hotels really just becoming so big that they cannot verify the safety of their patrons? It’s something to think about as you visit Vegas and see cranes in every direction. These cranes are building bigger and bigger casino’s with more rooms and more areas for error. The top few floors were effected and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The 3,000-room hotel was evacuated and no injuries, with the exception of a few minor cases of smoke inhalation, were reported in the three-alarm blaze.
Thankfully everyone seems to be ok, just some cases of smoke inhalation. We will keep everyone updated as this story unfolds. CNN reported that their were welders on the roof as the fire broke out.
