The movie is based around this unique focus of eight strangers with eight points of view of one crime. The movie repeats and overlaps some sections of the film which is kind of off pace for a typical American film. Some people got loud in our theater which was annoying but I found the film the best I had seen in 2008. The unique twists in the plot and how the story builds as you see different views is great. The dramatic irony is very well placed for people that enjoy it in a film. My biggest surprise in the film was to find Holt McCallany in the film from CSI Miami. He played a detective for about 11 episodes named John Hagen who had a fling with Cali Ducain. That was my favorite shocker from the cast. The filming was excellent and the explosions and aftermath footage came out flawlessly. The movie definitly touches on some issues in world culture of today including our ally with some Arab nations. It may be a little over the top for Hollywood sake which could bring you some annoyance if you take great pride in the United States. Forest Whitaker killed it in this movie as well. He has like 6 films in post production right now so if you like him you will definitly see enough of him soon.
