A rare chance to scoop a pair of DVS sample sneakers. The Defgrip x DVS shoe auction features a sample of a Carson model developed by Defgrip. The collaboration is still on, but the base model has changed, making these all the more special. Proceeds go to aiding BMXer Mike Aitken and his family following a traumatic injury.

DVS x Huf x Mighty Healthy

October 10th, 2008    Posted in DVS, Huf, Mighty Healthly

Long time friends Keith Hufnagel and Ray Mate from Mighty Healthy NYC got together with DVS to work on a line of clothing and sneakers. The line consists of several apparel pieces including a reversible grey and black vest, branded T-shirts, as well as two custom colorized shoe designs—the Huf 5 Runner and the Huf 5 mid. The color scheme used in the line, according to Mate, was inspired by the colors of Xavier High School—a Jesuit school located in the Chelsea Neighborhood in Manhattan that Huf attended growing up. Via DVS/CtotheJL.

The product begins shipping in early November and can be found in select skate shops throughout the world.

On a side note, the interview also mentions that Huf is opening a retail outlet in Tokyo, Japan, this year. Seems like we still have to look out for that.

DVS Sketchy

July 20th, 2007    Posted in DVS, Skateboarding

DVS is one of the biggest skate teams around in the current day and age. The DVS Skate Team consists of: Daewon Song, Keith Hufnagel, Chico Brenes, Steve Berra, Kerry Getz, Mike Taylor, Jereme Rogers, Jeron Wilson, Daniel Castillo, Zered Bassett, Torey Pudwill, Lamare Hemmings, and Guru Khals. This shirt comes in white, black and as seen here sand. DVS has really come full circle and this year even launched a new branch called Luxe. I really like the unique logo intergration on this shirt and the skull adds a real nice touch. It’s a very simple design that works but has a complex layered feel to it.

DVS & Diamond Supply Co. Collab. Shoe

July 14th, 2007    Posted in DVS, Diamond Supply Co., Shoes, Skateboarding

Along with the shoe this collaboration I have seen some samples of a hat and heard rumors of a hoodie coming out in coordination with this deal. This is part of the original intent line for DVS. I am really looking forward to this shoe dropping in November on the 2nd. I am really stoked about the collab. because these are two of my favorite brands on a great collaboration. The only item I haven’t seen is the hoodie but I plan to purchase that one real  quick.
