San Francisco based Upper Playground has officially opened in NYC. We have already seen the opening of a Seattle store earlier in the month. NOw they traveled across the states to set up shop in New York City. We get a peek into some of the projects going on including a permanent David Choe mural for the locations interior as well as a few new tee graphics inspired by the Big Apple.

Comme Des Garcons has opened up a couple of pop up shops in Paris including one in the Marais District. The small stores house COMME des GARCONS’ PLAY collection as well as their accessories. It is not determined how long the stores will be up and running but they sure do look enticing with the labels always a clean design. Detailed images are available after the jump.

King Stampede is getting ready to hit hard for 2008 and they just dropped a collaboration jacket with J. Money that is available at Boundless NY. It has a velcro front and comes with a collection of patches to to put on the jacket. This thing is fresh, gotta love this holiday drop. e Waterproof Tech Jacket incorporates high quality technical fabrics to stop the cold rain and snow from lurking up your back, while six interchangeable velcro patches are included to mix things up. Wish (Atlanta, Georgia)

December 12th, 2007    Posted in 10 Deep, Alife, Crooks & Castles, King Stampede, Married to the Mob, Staple, Stores, The Hundreds

I finally made it to Wish right at Little 5 Points in Atlanta, Georgia. Let me tell you the place is amazing! I was able to find a ton of great brands such as The Hundreds, 10 Deep, Staple, A Life, Crooks & Castles, and King Stampede within the walls. Over in women’s they even had Tens (The Hundreds female line) and Married to the Mob! The atmosphere is relaxing and very open. They had a wide selection of Hundreds gear including some of their cut and sew. They also have a wide variety of shoes including Nike, MadFoot, and Alife. My only real complaint about the store is the prices on some items were notably inflated but it does give Atlanta residents an opportunity to try on many of these products under a local roof.

If you want to stay up with Wish ATL they have a blog at Wishatl.blogspot.com

Rogue Status Window Treatment.

Now this is a sick unique marketing campaign. A place in California called Chocolate Crocodile started doing front window projects. Their first selection for a window screen was the Rogue Status Gun Show print. If you swing by right after sunset or at night the black guns turn shades of white and silver under light. That is very sick, just cruise down Ventura Blvd. and you’ll notice the shop!

Here is the location of the ChocCroc!

Fatlace in San Francisco

August 10th, 2007    Posted in Stores

Well she was ready for some adventure so we headed downtown to find Mark’s new clothing store that opened a few weeks ago called Fatlace. It’s right in the downtown area of San Francisco. It was a great place to swing by and I will continue to bring business that way when I visit Norcal. Nice works to all the guys at the shop!

We finally found it after not being able to find some stupid road for like hours. San Francisco downtown really doesn’t make any sense and road names change at intersections and go sideways and upside down. Yea, get a taxi if you wanna visit this place or use a map or something helpful. Anyway, the address is:

1630 Post Street
San Francisco, CA 94115

Fatlace carries Staple and quite a few other awesome brands. I just remember Staple because I picked up a Staple shirt. I have too many clothes as it is, geez. I ran out of hangers a while back and now if laundry is all done I cannot fit all my stuff in the closet, ugh. Here is the wall you always see in the Fatlace photos. Go visit and buy cool stuff if your in Norcal because it’s Hella JDM. I still have that old school shirt too somewhere.
